funding for Exeter

The Exeter Business Fund (EBF) has been established by the South West Investment Group (SWIG) to provide ‘hands on’ support and finance to small businesses in the Exeter area.

The EBF is funded through the South West Investment Group, Business Link and Exeter City Council, with essential support from HSBC Bank.

 

Objective

The Objective of the Fund is to provide complementary business and financial support for the development of small businesses in the Exeter area, in order to increase turnover, profitability and sustainable employment.

Type of Finance

The Fund will provide, to successful applicants, loans of £1,000 - £30,000. Higher amounts can be considered if appropriate.

Interest is charged at 6% above HSBC Bank base rate and the capital provided is subject to a one-off 1% arrangement fee at outset. There are no other charges.

Eligibility

The Fund is available to new and small businesses (including sole traders, partnerships, co operatives and limited companies) in the Exeter area that have 250 employees or less.

Applicants must be:

Unable to raise sufficient bank finance

Viable with support

Based within the Exeter City Boundary

Not directly displacing other local businesses
