How Can The Fund Help You?

By providing up to 50% matched funding up to £20,000 for a range of start-up or expansion costs

What Can it be Used For?

The fund is flexible, but it can help with things like:

Equipment needed for you to start your business

Plant and machinery to help you meet market demand

Premises purchase to provide stability for the future

Market Research to enable your business to define its customer base

Marketing of your business, its products and services


Who Qualifies?

The Phoenix Business Development Fund
Is for new and small businesses that have been trading for less than 12 months.

You must also:

Be unable to raise sufficient bank finance

Be based within the areas on the map

Show that you will not be competing unfairly in the local economy

Weighting is given to businesses owned by people with disabilities, ethnic minorities, single parents, people returning to work and people over 50 years of age

All sectors considered apart from transport, agriculture, fisheries, coal and steel
