West Dorset ‘Loans for Growth'

Who Qualifies?

The West Dorset “loans for growth” fund provides loans of up to £5,000 to new start and micro businesses that:

Operate from premises in West Dorset

Are new businesses who are about to or have just started trading

Are micro businesses employing less than 10 people

Are businesses in one of the following sectors

	Engineering both traditional and advanced
	ICT
	Tourism
	Environmental Technologies
	Food and Drink
	Retail
	Support for Agriculture

Eligibility

Applicants must be able to show that:

	They are unable to raise the funding needed from commercial sources
	They are not in receipt of funding from other public sources for the proposed project
	The business will be able to demonstrate potential for job creation or other growth from the loan

Support is available for:

	Investment in new equipment
	Marketing
	Other growth related investment
